is specifically designed for left-side (outside) hitters with
some specifics to attacking on the right side of the court.
Coaches will focus on approach, timing, arm swing and shot
selection.
Coaches will cover the
following skills:

hitting

Hit the overpass -
stationary and moving

Hit variety of sets

This is
a specialized clinic for the quarterback of the volleyball team.
There will be an emphasis on strategy, set selection, leadership
qualities, motivation of fellow teammates and coping with
pressure situations. Techniques will focus on maximum efficiency
and accuracy. A major area of teaching for the setters will be
squaring to position 4 on every set to enhance deception at
higher levels.
Coaches will cover the following skills:

Hand and
body positioning

Movement
and footwork to ball: move - stop - set, square to 4

Repetition, repetition, repetition!

Jump
setting - one and two legged take-offs

Bad ball

Variety
of sets - High balls to variety of quick's

Control clinic will focus on passing, floor defense and
non-setter setting. Topics include
passing, serve receive, individual defensive techniques (rolling,
collapsing, digging, diving, run-throughs)
as well as some team defensive systems.
